A late Federal tallcase clock from New York. Wonderful mahogany veneered case has excellent figure and great carved details. The eight day time and strike movement is weight driven and strikes the hours on a bell. The painted dial shows the phases of the moon in the arch. It retains its original paint and raised gilt decoration.
