A
Scottish Regency longcase clock made by Andrew Millar and
Son in Edinburgh @ 1815. Precisely styled flame mahogany veneered
case has excellent figure to the wood, and retains its original
color and finish. Case has the rare feature for an early clock
of a glazed trunk door with finished backboard, allowing the
weights and pendulum to be shown. Eight day weight driven
movement strikes the hours on a bell, and retains it original
pendulum and weights. Round painted dial retains its original
paint and is in excellent condition.
