A Scottish Regency longcase clock made by Andrew Millar and Son in Edinburgh @ 1815. Precisely styled flame mahogany veneered case has excellent figure to the wood, and retains its original color and finish. Case has the rare feature for an early clock of a glazed trunk door with finished backboard, allowing the weights and pendulum to be shown. Eight day weight driven movement strikes the hours on a bell, and retains it original pendulum and weights. Round painted dial retains its original paint and is in excellent condition.
